Description

I wasn't happy with slinging the tool head cover over the top rod - leaving it in a precarious position / stressing out the cable during maintenance.

Here is a simple hanger which loosely rests over the top rod and fits into one of the cover's triangle openings with a slot to keep it in place.

Safely stows the tool head cover and frees up your hands so you can get business done.

No supports needed for print.

The updated design with a deeper slot per user request was uploaded but for some reason makerspace is not updating the link.

Download the .stl if you are having issues accessing the latest version.

printed perfectly but doesn't work on my Kickstarter x1c due to different wiring:( or it may be because it specifically says for p1p I should have read closer!

Not the designer and just a passerby (and also late to the party). I'm willing to accept I might be totally wrong, but it looks like you're using it on the wrong side? The hanger appears to line up with the holes on the right side of your cover, so you'll need to move your tool head to the left.

It may be my Kickstarter X1 or the fact this says for P1 but my cable won't allow for it to reach the other side.

Works great but make sure to use bright colors! I've forgotten it inside way too many times and started a print which sends me into panic every time (the sounds are terrifying!) BRIGHT COLORS!

I recently did this and it scared the crap out of me. It kept popping the tool head cover off resulting in prints failing at the very start and I printed it in black so I didn't notice at first. Bright colors are a must!

Works pretty well, but isn't too difficult to knock it off. Good thing perhaps if the groove was a little more pronounced.
