Description

This magnetic adapter is for the Bambu Lab X1 or P1 Series printer.

The adapter allows you to attach a vent hose and pipe the fumes out of the room or the immediate area. I print with ASA and an air duct system does a great job of moving all the fumes outside.

This adapter fits a 3" air duct hose. This adapter also uses four (4) magnets (0.5 inch diameter, .010 thick). The mounting holes for the magnets are oversized (0.51 diameter) for an easy fit. Depending on you printing tolerance, you might need to super glue the magnets in place.

The magnets hold the vent adapter in place, but will slide around if moving the printer. Once your printer is in place, the vent will stay in place.

Filament - I used PLA+ or PLA Carbon Fiber

Support - None

Brim - 5 to 8mm

Layer - 0.2mm

3mf file using Bambu Lab Studio (slicer)

You can find digital files for T-adapters and Y-adapters to use for your air duct system on our website www.v3precision.com.

You can also find a finished adapter with the magnets installed.

Very nice design. Printed without any modifications using PETG (for better temperature resistance) on an Ender V3 Neo since that was already set up for PETG. Used CZMAG Neodymium magnets, 0.5" x 0.08" from Amazon which are quite strong. Fit perfectly on a P1S and holds well.

I don't think using magnets it the right approach, but if you want to use this design, make sure you have good strong magnets that sit flush when installed and are the right size. Otherwise if they are too small, low quality or not the correct thickness, it won't adhere to the back of the printer and the weight of the vent will cause it to slide.

What would you suggest doing instead of magnetic attachment?

prints super well. the software doesn’t recognize that there was a successful print for some reason, it would be a 5/5 if it had.
