Description

The phoenix is a mythical animal, which appeared in many legends and myths all around the world. This is my interpretation of this fiery creature, I hope you like it!

A friend's daughter loves the articulated toys that she found a convention. This was one she had never seen so I decided to try it out. I used these settings adjustments on with a temperature changing PLA (purple - red) 0.16mm Optimal for the X1C with the following tweaks: Sparse Infill Density: 20% w/ Gyroid Speeds Adjustments (mm/s: Outer Wall: 180 Inner Wall: 270 Sparse Infill: 280 Internal Solid infill: 250 Top Surface: 125 Gap Infill: 200

Other Issues:To start, printed with a .4 hardened steel nozzle, rainbow glow PLA with generic setting. ran calibrations prior to printing. The clearance to unfold the wings were too tight and broke off. Disappointed because as you can see in the pictures, this is a very cool print. maybe better with a .2 nozzle 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m open to suggestions and would happily rewrite the review. What should I modify?

Well, there are a lot of things to consider. He result can become weak and can break easily if the filament was wet or it was not properly calibrated. Make sure to calibrate flow and dynamic flow before printing. You can also try to increase temperature by +5 to make sure it gets stronger. These are some of my ideas, not sure what else can go wrong. Some people experienced that certain filaments are just more likely to break, but I think if the wet factor can be avoided it should work nicely.

Printed one (blue and black), then decided they needed a buddy. The red and orange one looks very cool! Both printed without any flaws. Note: I use glue on all my prints.
