Get tons of torque in tight spaces with this mini bit driver – print with embedded magnet or friction ribs, will hold your choice of hex bits (¼" ~ 6.35mm).

 

Overview

This remix uses quad thumb wings for better grip and maneuverability. Addressing the original's need for enhanced bit retention, I have created two variants - one featuring printed retention ribs (these may wear over time) and another with embedded magnets. Reach into tight spaces easily and get great torque using the 'thumb wings,' which not only provide a secure grip but also serve as a visual indicator for turn count, ensuring precision.

Printing Details

 

Recommended filaments:
- PLA, PLA+, PETG have all been tested and work well

 

Hotend: 0.4mm Hardened Steel

Print time: <20mins

 

Printing Tips:

  • I would recommend printing in a bright color to prevent loss and increase visibility.

Assembly

  • Option A uses printed ribs for bit retention.
  • Option B is an embedded magnet version of this print which has a pause built in for you to manually insert the magnet, which is then enclosed in the print.
  • Option C leaves an open slot for you to glue the magnet in place post-print.
  • All profiles are pre-sliced with tuned settings.
