If you are as good as me in packaging gifts for your loved ones. Welcome👋 .
Let us together melt 6-11g of filament to always have at least nice bows on our gifts.
The assembly is fairly simple, and it provides also a holder that keeps everything together.
Use some double-sided tape to fixate it on your gifts.
Each profile is ready to be printed and include all available inserts.
The simple version has a rectangular baseplate, and the big version has a circular baseplate.
Special thx to @Dany25 for the Big Gift Ribbon Idea! Send some ♥️.
Available Inserts:
Clean your Build plate and Nozzle!
The bow itself only has 2 layers, which means it is very thin and allows the material to bend.
After printing let the plate cool off so it will be much easier to remove. As you can see in the picture below, the light white areas removed themself from the plate while it was cooling off.
Prepare all the parts and pick now what pin you want to have, currently, there is a rectangle and a heart available and place the other one aside.
You now need to bend the first bow. I´ve marked the bending spots on this one with a marker for you to better see.
Now place your finger on the holes and bend it by 90° so it matches the picture below. Skip this if you are doing the big one.
You can now insert the pin from below. This is where we stack the other layers on.
Now take the big piece with you can pre-bend this a bit the goal is that all holes align on that one. TIP CAUTION! You can ease the bending when you bring the material to a more flexible temperature. This can be done with a lighter or reuse your printer and set the heat bed temperature to around 70°. This will make the material very flexible and it´s easy to bend. Keep in mind to be careful and not burn yourself - do this at your own risk. The material will cool off very quickly so be quick. Repeat this 2 times for the big one.
Now we need your finger skills. This is the Bob Ross part. After aligning the holes, you need to add the last layer and close the initial layer to hold everything in place. Secure it with the plate, it needs some press-fit love. The big one has a circular baseplate. The simple one has a rectangular baseplate. |
Enjoy your Bow! And share your Make!
I hope you enjoy the design, please leave a comment/rating if you enjoy it or share your feedback!
If you need something to stick the bow onto. Check out my gift box, the pins match and you can simply use it for the cover 💕.
The Gift Box is Fully Parameterized, enjoy!
