Workmate Leg Spring
Print Profile(2)

Description
I needed a replacement for the leg spring on my 1980's Black and Decker Workmate. There were none on Makerworld, but there was a model available on printables which was a remix by NUeB of an original model from noncorporealbeing which will print without supports.
The model did not fit initially and it required some modification with primitives and scaling in the slicer to get a decent fit. I have also added a modifier to increase the infill on the non flexing parts to make it more robust. Since there was so much work required in the slicer to get a good print, I have uploaded the model here.
To fit this replacement spring use a punch to remove the leg retaining pin, remove the broken spring, place the new spring into the notch and push the peg into the hole, then replace the pin.
I have initially printed this in PETG, and will see how long it lasts, it seems quite robust. I have also printed one in Sunlu Easy PA (Nylon).
This was Creative Commons Public Domain model, so I have persisted that license here too.

This took four attempts and an entire evening to get a workable 3mf file, so if it works for you please consider giving me a Boost.
