Description

12/06 After many tests, I successfully found out the cause of the assembly problems reported by some users, and modified the side panel file "AMS Dry Box-SW_v2".

NOTE!I Designed this model not only for ams, I also used it in the vacuum bag that holds the filament, so I needed tight tolerances to make the box strong enough.
The tolerance is 0.3mm, please be sure to confirm before printing this model.

Open the side lid and pour about 60g of silica.

There is a buckle design on the top, please make sure it is buckled correctly when installing.

The front and back of the V2 version have relaxed tolerances in most areas, making it easier to install.
I kept the last small area because without this part, you might get the box and slide it open like in the second picture, resulting in a mess.

Please be careful not to install it in the wrong direction when installing.

If you have trouble assembling them, try using a heavy object to knock them into the correct position.

As for why I used this complex design, it was because I considered that he had to withstand several kilograms of impact from the filament, so I wanted to distribute the force as equally as possible to each part.

Also I have a beautiful model related to AMS! Don’t miss it!

Do you always find the AMS feeder difficult to press? Are the models on the Internet very difficult to install? I have improved and carefully designed this model. Please be sure to try it!(click on the image to go to the page!)

Single printed fine but doing 3 on a plate didn't work. Can't remember the infill type but I'm going to assume it was a grid instead of gyroid issue.

Hello! The infill type is gyroid. This setting can be placed in 3 groups without any problem. As a reference, I uploaded my 3 groups of configuration files. If it still doesn't work, you can consider raising the bed temperature slightly.

My apologies on the assumption. Running the new textured pei so I haven't run into many issues with adhesion. I'll try the new 3 on a plate tomorrow.

i had exactly the same problem printing 3, ran through so many different calibrations, drying filament and then lastly tried a different filament type, same problem. seems to loose plate adhesion. prints single no problem. i cant seem to find any difference between the 2 files :/

Doors do not slide into the sides, the tolerances are way too tight.

I can only set slices. You need to adjust the Flow ratio setting of filament. Before giving 1 star, you can first see why other users can use it normally.

I'm giving it 1 star because the profile I used doesn't work. Why should I have to tune my filament? Loosen the tolerances on the model, they don't need to be that tight.

On the other hand, why do most people have to risk the risk of Silica Gel being scattered all over the place to increase the tolerance of the design. The description column says "tolerance is 0.3mm" This is like ordering a meal without looking at the menu and then complaining that it's not what you wanted. I mean no harm, there are many more models designed with tighter tolerances. The right adjustments can help you solve this type of problem for good. Just a well-intentioned suggestion.

Wow... where to start? I'm on my 3rd attempt at printing the large piece. The first two failed at 90% complete, then I printed three more. They failed at 90% complete. I'm on attempt #3... Maybe 3rd time is the charm?!? Now we wait. ----- UPDATE ----- The 3rd time was the charm... I finally got the large piece to print. Then broke two of the walls putting them together. I went ahead and used the pieces to complete the assembly... It's not pretty, but it'll work.

If you can describe your failure in detail, I'll be happy to help you resolve your difficulty.

I'm super new the 3D printing. My failure was the models coming loose from the build plate due to not enough glue on the plate mixed with a "not hot enough" build plate. I did finally get the full project to print as you can see in the 3rd pic above. The scraps went into my new lamp with my printer poop and other failed prints.

3x Set - Optimized (High Quality) 0.12 - (Great Overhangs)
Printed 3 at once for my AMS. Used a matte marble PLA, and filled with desiccant from amazon. Very nice design and all the parts fit together nicely and sturdy (even with a little warping in the prints). Sits very well in the AMS and goes a long way to keep the box dry.

marble was a good choice, it kind of looks like new age stone columns

They are not fitting my ams for some reason, the ams has been a support where the box goes

Hi! Looks like you are an early backer, my AMS structure is different and I can't test it. I've uploaded a file called test.stl if you'd like, and if you'd like to try printing it, be sure to share your results with me!

2 Set ⭐Optimized (High Quality) 💎0.12 (Good Overhangs)
Overall good print quality. Better surface finish than the .20 layer hight and also a slightly better fit of the joints. But the quality of the overhangs and the bridges is lower than the original .20 print.

hi rj3d, I'm the print profile uploader, thank you for bringing this to my attention, I'll look into this and see if there's anything I can do to improve the print profile

really great design. The only one I've tried that doesn't seem like it will break if someone breaths on it. really love how it snaps together, great work. I just had to thin out the support beams on the side since I have an original AMS and it didn't fit well with the glued in support that's needed for that one.

Due to the use of a translator, I may not fully understand what you said. Based on speculation, I think this may be what you need? This is one of the versions born during my creative process. It is used on the back to avoid the belt. Bracket with bearings. I can upload this file if necessary.

hello! yes I used the negative box modifier to remove those 2 beams. I also made the other beams thinner so they are flush I solved it by modifying it with the slicer but the other model you showed may be nice for others
