I recently acquired a Genius, and I was not a fan of the spool support, I use a model for my other printers that I adapt to the printers and that I find very good, useful, resistant and functional.

With the genius' plastic mount, we find very little or no different spool mount adaptation that would fit on the genius. This is understandable because the plastic support in the absence of the aluminum profile (like most printers) allows very few modifications.

So I adapted a spool holder that uses the original holes (because I didn't want to make any holes in the plastic). I was confronted with a problem, the offset of the support is done on the back, and since there is no fixing on the front part of the support, this one tended to move a lot and seemed fragile. To solve this problem, I offset the center of gravity on the front of the support so that the weight of the coil is sufficient in itself to ensure good stability (if you look closely, this is the case with the support provided original elsewhere) and after hours of printing test, it's impeccable!

The support goes a little in force in the holes, it is normal and expected.

Here, I share this, because it can help some maybe, who like me are not fans of the original support.

For printing, I am on 0.2 for the nozzle, 2 perimeters, infill at 20% minimum, in my case in PETG, the PLA will also do perfectly well in my opinion.

J'ai acquis récemment une Genius, et je n'étais pas fan du support bobine, j'utilise pour mes autres imprimantes un modèle que j'adapte en fonction des imprimantes et que je trouve très bien, utile, résistant et fonctionnel.

Avec le support en plastique de la genius, on trouve très peu voir aucune adaptation de support de bobine différent qui irait sur la genius. C'est compréhensible car le support plastique a défaut du profilé alu (comme la plupart des imprimantes) ne permet que très peu de modifications.

J'ai donc adapté un support de bobine qui utilise les orifices d'origine (car je ne voulais faire aucun trou dans le plastique). J'ai été confronté à un souci, le déport du support se fait sur l'arrière, et comme il n'y a pas de fixation sur la partie avant du support, celui-ci avait tendance a bouger beaucoup et semblait fragile. Pour résoudre se problème, j'ai déporté le centre de gravité sur l'avant du support afin que le poids de la bobine suffise en lui même pour assurer une bonne stabilité (si vous regardez bien, c'est le cas avec le support fourni d'origine d'ailleurs) et après des heures de test d'impression, c'est impeccable !

Le support rentre un peu en force dans les orifices, c'est normal et prévu. J'ai fait en sorte qu'il soit parfaitement centré sur la bras en plastique.

Voila, je partage ca, car cela peut aider certains peut être, qui comme moi ne sont pas fan du support d'origine.

Pour l'impression, je suis sur du 0.2 pour la buse, 2 périmètres, remplissage à 20% minimum, dans mon cas en PETG, le PLA fera parfaitement l'affaire également a mon avis.
