There are several options for filament clips here on MW. But I had a few problems with the ones available. Firstly, they would often fall out of the holes.
Secondly, and most importantly, I print almost exclusively in ABS these days. ABS is much lighter than other filament materials, and as such, the spools tend to be more “full” than you would find in PLA or others. All the other filament clips here on MW were too wide, and would pinch new spools and actually make it impossible to put refills rolls into the spools.
So my version is much thinner, with no drop into the filament area. It also has a slightly flanged end which will “snap” into the holes in the spools. Because of this, I would recommend printing in a more flexible material like ABS, PETG or TPU.
