New and better model suitable for dry-box here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/509623#profileId-425675
UPDATE 24.6.2024
The model has now two print profiles, one for the frame and one for the wheels. Wheels have been remodeled to have stronger walls and better tolerances.
Collection of my Accessories for 3D printers: https://makerworld.com/@golub17/collections/1575941
Old Description:
Simple spool roller suitable for hopefully all spools up to 1kg. If you use two of them, they will maybe fit a 2 or 4kg spool.
Wheels have a V-shaped groove to both keep them moving with the spool and keep the spool centered in them. They are also designed to be print in place, give them a few wacks to start them moving. Print profile has random seams for beeter “unstickability” of print in place bearings.
The stand has compliant holes and pegs, they should fit together (from my build and testing) and hold. If that will not happen to you, I suggest using a drop of superglue in the hole.
I used PLA for the stand and recycled PETG for the wheels, mostly just for looks and material saving purposes.
I have also test-printed one PLA wheel and it works perfectly, so using PLA for the whole thing is fine.
(not sponsored by FormFutura :D , just cardboard spool for demonstration)
