Description

UPDATE 28/01/2024: BELOW

It's almost valentine, so it's time for some real love. That's why i designed this shadow box, and you know what? The best thing to hold on in life is each other. So keep enjoying each other every day. oh, you know it's real love when forever is not long enough.

Colors needed: red, pink, white and black. But you can choose your own colors.

I added a 3MF for Bambu printers. No AMS needed.

You can put a light at the back, so the small hearts lights up:

Go check my other models and don't forget to share your makes;,

UPDATE 28/01/24

I added 2 new holders (standcloseback.stl, holderlongerv3.stl)

NEW UPDATE ON THE HOLDER 28/01

holderlongerv3.stl - i made the front sides and sides thicker a l so the sides wiggle less while printing.

i made the slots in the holder a little larger and deeper.

I also added the other holder with a closed back. The disadvantage is that when placing a light source at the back, no light can pass through :-)

Both holders have slighly larger ans deeper slots

Happy printing and thanks for the support.

Kevyn

Added also the print profiles for both.

The stand itself seemed a little wide so it was hard to put the other pieces into place without the use of a rubber band to put a little tension on it towards the top. I did have a pause in the print due to running out of black so I won't knock the print, we'll call it operator error for now. Otherwise, it is a really cool model and looks great.

Thanks for the rating. i know the issue of the wider top, its because op the stabilty of the sides. That's why i made the lid that way. But i'm working on a new stand where the sides are wider and the stability when print will be better. But i see some bandind on the picture, on what printer did you print it?

Updated desing with solid back works much better than the original. I left out black printed part with the couple to allow more room for adding lights. It also allows the light to shine completely through the entire design.

Are the updated inserts thicker or have a snugger fit? I started printing the older version and I found it quite difficult to keep them from popping out of the slots. I think this was mainly do to how flimsy they are. I see the new frame files but there isnt any new insert files. You mentioned the new frames take larger inserts. What scale should we size the existing inserts so that they fit properly into the new frames

i think it’s a misunderstanding, the slides are not changed, you can keep using the same slides. But the holders are updated. i made the slots in holder a litlle larger and deeper, so they go easier in. I made the change cause some printers tolerances are different. The top of the holder will stay a little of, i'm still workiing on a solution, but in the last update holderlongerv3.stl it have to better. I think increasing the infill or more walls can resolve this. Make als the lid for holderlongerv3.stl is changed And thanks for printing my models 🙏

Replying to @Kevyn3D :
I just printed the new closed back holder and added a negative object to create a hole for wiring lights. It is much better than the original version. Much stronger and feels more finished. I know the original was meant to have light shine out the back or be lit from a source outside of the box. With this new version I can easily add my lights to the back panel. Another option I may do is to remove the black panel. This will allow more light to shine through the other panels. The removal will also allow for more room for lighting if I choose to put it aroudn the inside holder instead of the back panel. I did note that the original panel size is too large to fit into the new stand. I ended up scaling them to 90% but left them the same thickness and they fit perfectly. They did stick up a tiny bit from the frame but not a big issue as the lid still fits. I could always trim them down a hair or set the height scaling to 89%

The print was ok but due to desing issues assembly was difficult and box was a bit flimsy. Designer has since updated model and posted new profile which address these issues

Can you show how the lights were installed? Would it be possible to cut the black file so that that pink hearts and outline will illuminate
