I finally was able to print both the chess pieces and the chess board. I have attached images below.
- I printed the pieces using wood PLA. I did it because wood PLA allows you to paint it. I plan to give this to a friend with kids, which will allow my friend to be able to print al the various pieces however they want.

I previously made my own Chess Pieces, so I decided to make my own board to.
I had trouble printing it so i added mouse ears to the designs. They are only 1 layer high, they helped me print easier.
Printing is pretty straightforward; 4 corner trim, 4 straight trim and 1 center section. You will need to print 64 insert tiles. 32 tiles will be one color while the other 32 tiles will be a different color.
- If the mouse ears bother ya, i dont mind removing them and uploading them.
- I eventually plan to design storage for both the board and pieces. I have a general idea on paper but have yet to transfer it into Fusion 360.
