11/17/19 - I decided to create a new addition to the sword called - Handle Reinforce - to better join the handle to the hilt. Because i use a lower amount of infill, the handle would break the hilt, if you only hold the sword by its handle.

I think this could be completely avoidable if you increase the infill amount of where the handle meets the hilt. Or you can simple just print the Handle Reinforce.
Update 11/15/19 - After around 104 or so printing hours and around 1 1/4 filament rolls, i have printed all parts to make the sword.
Update 11/14/19 - Made edits to the hilt file, Hilt v7. The hilt has printed just fine. Have attached it without issue.
Update 11/13/19 - Just finished printing the final blade part, Blade 1 and have glued it to the rest of the blade. Pretty Cool! I have added image of the completed blade. Sadly do to a issue with my printer, Blade 1, nearly split apart near the top circle. Hopefully i was able to fix the issue.
Anyway, I think that the length of the connector should be longer. Thankfully that is a simple thing that can be done in whatever slicer you use.
Update 11/12/19 - I found a issue with the 2 round holes in part - Blade 1. I accidentally made the holes cut at angle other than 90 degrees to the sword itself. I have updated a updated version of the file - Blade 1 v2.
Update 11/11/19 - I have decided to print the whole sword. I am only 2.5 printing days into the 5 or so days expected to finish. I will add photos as parts finish printing.
I wanted to create the famous sword from Final Fantasy 7 (FF7), Cloud's Buster sword. I made it 85% to scale, which is a bit over 5ft once printed.
I made the handle separate from the hilt so that i could print the handle using wood PLA.
I plan to use expanding glue to connect everything together using the connector file which you will need to print 9 of.
