I used predominantly prusament with my prusa printers, The Mk3's have a lovely spool holder that attaches to the frame, but the mini's do not. So I invented this to carry spools with a bigger anti-tip bias. Then the AMS lite does not like prusament spools, so I used this to reduce the printing time of the respooler system I downloaded.
You don't need to use the support washer for normal printing, but if you're respooling prusament, but it really helps, and you don't need friction control or any bearings.
Prusament has a winding notch that this also clips into for better solid control.
I'd recommend putting some non-slip sticky pad feet on so the plastic spool holder doesn't lurch around your table.
