Update: 24/05/2024 A1 Mini compatible version is ready!
The Zhulong Lamp is a decorative and festive lamp designed to celebrate the Chinese Year of the Dragon. Featuring multiple canvas designs inspired by Chinese dragon motifs, this lamp uses the Bambu Lab LED strip to illuminate the canvas, adding a warm and inviting glow to any space. Even without the LED light, the lamp's beautiful design makes it a great addition to your home decor.
I'm constantly developing new designs that will help you transform your lamp to suit different styles and themes
Filaments used:
- PLA matte Latte brown
- PLA matte Dark brown
- PLA matte Ivory white
- PLA matte Scarlet red
- PLA sparkle Onyx black
- PLA sparkle Crimson red
Print instructions:
3MF files with the correct settings are available to use.
Main structure parts:
1: Base
2: Lid
3: Diffuser
4: LED channel
5: Screws
6: Cable plug
I tested and printed all parts using only 2 plates to have a complete lamp structure.
I added a 4 plate option incase you are not sure about your bed adhesion or if your printer is not on a stable surface.
Canvases:
I recommend using the Textured PEI Build plate.
Please wait untill the build plate has cooled down before attempting to remove the canvas.
Changing the colors of the canvases is extremely simple and can be done directly from Bambu Studio or Bambu Handy using my custom print profile. The AMS is required for multi color versions.
Please note that only the Year of the Dragon canvases are available on MakerWorld. For more exclusive canvases, stay tuned for an upcoming Patreon release next week.

Assembly:
Assembly video on YouTube. Use browser to view it.
All parts thread together. No glue or extra hardware needed!
Start with tightly sticking the LED strip around the LED channel. Make sure to lead the USB connection to the bottom (Thread side)

Installing the Canvas on the Main Structure:
- Using both hands, bend the canvas and position it into the base, aligning the screw holes.
- Make sure the black, thicker edge is facing outward.
- While keeping one hand holding the canvas in place, use your other hand to secure the bottom screw. After that, the remaining screws can be easily screwed in. Do not overtighten the screws they can break
This is most challenging part of assembly . However, with a bit of patience, anyone can complete this step. If you encounter any difficulties during assembly, please don't hesitate to reach out to me for assistance.
Please follow the pictures below for the rest. Its pretty straight forward. Let me know if you have any questions.
