ARGB Organizer
Here I would like to introduce you to one of my projects. An ARGB Organizer. No Support needed
I think it looks quite good on the desk. The holder is controlled via the PC,
so that you can set the colours to your preference. If you don't have the option of using an ARGB stripe, you can also use your own filament colours instead of the transparent PETG. It certainly looks quite good too. It is possible that it also works with the new transclucent filament from bambu lab. You can't see how great it looks on the gifs.
Sorry for that.
What do you need?
- Pliers
- scissors
- 12cm of a 144 ARGB stripe
- cable
- plug
- 8 magnets with the size of 5x3mm
- Transparent PETG or coloured filament with a diameter of 1.75mm
- Soldering iron and solder
- Superglue
- Possibly a drill with a diameter of 2.5mm
- A little patience and skill
Once the print was finished, I inserted the magnets. It was a little tight and I used pliers for this, so I didn't need superglue.
Next, I took a metre of transparent PETG and pushed it into the holes on the underside. Although I made the opening bigger, it was still a bit tight to get the filament in there. So I widened the holes a little with nail scissors (I didn't have a drill to hand) and the filament went in easily.
When cutting the filament, make sure that it is not too wide, I used the pliers to squeeze the tip of the filament a little after each cut.
Now push the filament into the tip, there are also countersunk holes so that the filament sits well there.
Next, I soldered the 12cm ARGB strip to the cable and laid it in the groove. I didn't glue it in place. That's up to you.
Then assemble everything and connect it to the PC.
Have fun printing and assembling.
Please understand that this is not for commercial use.
I think the result is quite nice
