Description

I always had trouble scooping out the little filament waste bits that fall off the printer plate in my X1C. I made this simple extrusion to brush the detritus into into the bin at the front of the base inside the printer. Simply brush the bits into the bin, remove the bin and dump it. Prints in 30 minutes. Leave it inside the printer, sits in front of the heat bed. Easy to lift out and empty, ready for the next load. STL, STEP and Fusion files included for simple modification. I printed it flat at .2mm.

Update: added 245mm version in the download section.

The 245mm stl printed great despite poor setting choices on my part (third-party HS PLA might have overextruded, 0.2mm layer height). I might print at a lower layer height next time or maybe use the original profile and sacrifice a bit of speed. The slope layer lines were more evident and bumpy than usual. Does the job and out of sight so no complaints!

Thanks for the detailed review. I bet if it was printed vertically, it would eliminate the layer lines on the slope. It would take longer but maybe create fewer catch points on the slope. I'll try it and update the profile if it works.

It might but adhesion is always fun with vertical prints! The lines wasn't any fault of your design. I sliced the 245mm stl and sliced at 0.2mm in Bambu Studio. Choosing 0.16mm or even adjusting my volumetric would have eliminated the lines. And it's a hidden and super handy thing. Not a quality concern at all IMO! (FWIW, it was another model I'd used an alt quick print profile...I printed a bunch of tools and accessories today now that my printer wasn't cranking out inventory and gifts!)

I revised my review to try to be clearer that the print flaws were my bad life choices not your super handy goodie!

Thank you for the print! You can scale it in the x direction directly on the plate. I added a 245mm version to the download section.
