Description

This modified version of a print-in-place foldable hook is designed specifically for compatibility with the IKEA Skadis pegboard and is based on the design of Jack. To guarantee a secure and precise fit, I incorporated two customized Skadis hooks. The hook was tested and successfully supported a load of 4 kg without any issues. However, I did not conduct further testing for heavier loads, as I believe this hook is not suited for more strenuous tasks.

Printing Instructions

This model requires support throughout its entire base and partially on the hook. Proper removal of these supports typically takes between 3 to 5 minutes. Should you choose not to use the provided print profile, it is crucial to ensure that any supports within and surrounding the hook area are adequately blocked.

Skadis Collection

I am constantly developing more IKEA Skadis attachments. Check out my IKEA Skadis Collection here.

So, if I understand correctly, you're suggesting that the issue with removing the supports was a result of your actions, yet rather than reflecting on how you might have approached it differently, you're attributing the problem to the printer settings. Is that right?

Support Issue:Prints okay, huge wasteage due to very much support. Broke one of the hooks while trying to remove the support.
Other Issues:design should be improved, please make a version, that consists of two parts, to be able to print without support. It’s easier to glue two parts that are made for it, than having to repair tiny things. other than that, the model looks fine and works.

I agree with you on the 2-part approach, but I wouldn't consider 2.9 grams of filament for the support material to be 'huge wastage.'

Replying to @AU3D :
I agree, that it’s not a huge wastage in absolute, but compared to the overall volume of the model it’s a little unnecessary.

The hooks come out too fragile due to the position in which they are printed

Strength Issue:Leider hat keiner meiner drei Versuche gehalten. Die Haken, die ins Skadis eingehängt werden sind direkt abgebrochen. sonst sehr schönes Design
