Description

Check out this nifty display stand designed to neatly showcase all those vibrant filament swatch samples that come with your A1, purchased separately from the Bambu site, or even your own handpicked collection of top-notch filaments. This print is a breeze - no need for support or brim. This will hold the entire collection of 80 swatches from Bambu Lab ( this includes PLA Basic (19 Colors), PLA Matte (16 Colors), PETG Basic (15 Colors), ABS (16 Colors), PLA Tough (10 Colors), PETG CF (2 Colors) , PLA CF (2 Colors)).

I really wanted something where the swatches were secure unless I wanted to pull one. With little kids and pets around some of the other designs gave me some grief. I also thought this concept was a great functionality paired with a cool look. But, to each his or her own!

There are four profiles of this model:

  1. v2 - A version with a turnstile knob with looser tolerances (recommended).
  2. v2 - A version with no knob with looser tolerances.
  3. v1 - A version with a turnstile knob with tighter tolerances
  4. v1 - A version with no knob with tighter tolerances.

After a small % of users reporting less than fully satisfied results with the tighter tolerances for the swatch openings, the looser tolerance version is now available. I would now suggest you start with the looser tolerance version and if you want to try out the tighter feel, it is available to you.

Assembly

You will need 1 x 608 bearing. These are the ones I used. They push fit perfectly on my P1S.

  1. Push-fit a 608 bearing into the center opening in the base.
  2. Put a dab of glue on the spring and insert the tab end into the opening on the inner base circle (optional). The spring simply adds a click noise as it spins. Some will find it satisfying, others will be indifferent!
  3. Insert the top into the base aligning the spindle with the bearing opening in the center.
  4. Use a dab of glue to secure the knob in place (optional).

I added a Bambu logo in the middle instead of the spinning handle. still in the process of printing swatches for each of the filament type I own so it’s half empty, it damn this is fun to watch all your filament colors in a wheel.

printed this out in a two tone, works great! printed out a 608 bearing to go with it as well.

The print worked exceptionally well, and the color schemes are a perfect match. Only the assembly of the spring proved somewhat fiddly. Thank you for the file, including the ball bearing

What a great print. I printed the looser tolerances with a Bambu X-1 Carbon and found things to be a bit loose, but overall after hot gluing the knob in place everything works and looks great. At least I think so. Great design! The bottom was printed in Black PLA and the top was printed in grey translucent PETG.

Design and print are great, slot size consistent. Sadly, the Bambu swatches are not consistent. PLA matte being the highest offender of not fitting in the tighter tolerance version. The ones sticking up are a bit too tight, and the ones on the table won't go in. Swatches appear to be between 2.00mm and 2.31mm, anything above 2.1mm is sticking up, above 2.15mm won't fit. I'll try the looser tolerance next.

Works great and spins smoothly. Only issue is I could not get the clicky piece to fit into its slot. But that's not a big deal because it still functions perfect without it.
