Description

I took a chance and it turned out perfect! I decided to try “Shiny Silk” Filaments in a hue forge and I am in love. I used Sunlu Shiny Silk Grey and Bronze (Looks gold) but silver and gold can be used. I included layer heights if you want to experiment with other colors. Also included is a print profile for if you do not own an AMS, I added pauses to the appropriate layer heights for filament change. Let me know if you find any issues.

For quick version (thinner)

Print at 100% infill with a layer height of 0.08mm with a base layer of 0.24mm

Filaments Used:
PLA+ Sunlu Black Transmission Distance: 0.6
PLA Shiny SILK Sunlu Grey (or Silver) Transmission Distance: ?
PLA Shiny SILK Sunlu Bronze (or Gold) Transmission Distance: ?
PLA+ Sunlu White Transmission Distance: 5

Swap Instructions:
Start with Black
At layer #5 (0.56mm) swap to Grey/Silver
At layer #9 (0.88mm) swap to Bronze/Gold
At layer #13 (1.2mm) swap to White for the rest.

For the “THICC” version
Start with Black
    At layer #10 (0.96mm) swap to Grey
    At layer #16 (1.44mm) swap to Gold
    At layer #21 (1.84mm) swap to White for the rest.

Uploaded a "THICC" profile for both the 160mm and the 200mm sizes. BTW the red looks amazing on your print! Edit: I did not want to loose detail simplifying the model but will have to, will upload soon.

After several attempts to upload a 3MF and Makerworld saying they were too large, I have now uploaded a "THICC" 200x200mm STL and updated the description with the appropriate layer heights for filament change. If there is anything else I can help with please don't hesitate to reach out.

Thank you for the feedback. When I try to upload the "THICC" version of the 200x200mm model, Makerworld claims it it "too large" and takes too long to slice. I will upload the STL file of the "THICC" 200x200mm with the layer heights for filament change. I hope this helps, if there is anything else I can do please reach out.

It did take some time to slice. But it printed alright, and it looks great. It is too fragile being thin. If you can get it to upload a THICC version, I will reprint and re-evaluate. And thanks for your extra efforts!

What can I say? I like dragons. Excellent print. I've enjoyed all of the hue forge prints that have been posted by everyone. This last print inspired me to get hue forge.
