I printed all 3 heart sizes. The little one didn't make it as it had massive warping and I had to pull it from the print rotation. There is some warping on the medium one and a tiny bit on the big on. I was printing in Bambu Lab PETG on a PEI plate at 80c which shouldn't have that issue. I'm really confused why the little one just up and died horribly.
Meanwhile the design is great and I really appreciate the valentine's day themed fidget spinners for my kids!
PETG is tricky, id try the stock Profile for sure. Also note Winter is cold and the air drafts make it very easy to Lift from the print bed, Id recommend the Textured build plate for PETG as it seems to have less adhesion problems
You are spot on with your recommendations. I suspect my kids leaving out the door nearby caused the little heart to be a problem. I did not mean to imply any of my issues were a problem with your design, as it is really great and I appreciate you sharing it with the community.
Thank you!
I printed >50 of these for both of my kids classes with each of their classmates names on them. I was able to fit up to 24 per plate of the small model by alternating them between rows of right side up and upside down. Also did some large ones for the teachers.
I decided to put the text flush on the top with a thickness of 0.1 and an embedded depth of 0.8, which put the text starting on the first inner layer of the top shell and even with the top at 0.2 layer height.
