Description

I was having an issue with cardboard spools on my A1 and A1 Mini making squeaking noises and sliding onto the spool arm. So I remixed the spool adapter below to fix the issue. I resized the diameter of the adapter to 54.5mm, so it fits snug inside of an overture spool without being forced in. I am working on testing the Elegoo adapter and will update if any changes are made. I also made the rims of the original spool holder much more narrow so they will fit nicely on the spool holder for the A1 Mini (see photos).

UPDATE: Elegoo spool adapter works perfect!

A little too tight for the Overture spool. So I decided to use some sandpaper

Fits very nicely in my elegoo spool! I’m gonna have to test it when the spool is low, because that will be the real test of how much the spool moves.

Well done! I was using the remixed adapter for a Giantarm PETG and had the same issues with Overture cardboard spools, so I started to think about resizing....and then I found your model. Happy to see the work being done already. Thanks for sharing!
