Description
Two rings for Smartfil PLA recycled spool made of carton, one with centering dot and the other without to safe your AMS from failing because of this biodegradable spool.
Both rings have a hook at the edge of the corner that prevents the spool from getting detached will spinning.
Hope it helps and becomes useful.
External diameter of 202 mm, wall of only 1 mm. Within AMS roll specs of 197-202

Solo he impreso el primero, funciona perfectamente aunque he tenido que fabricar un útil para que el ams no se cierre dado que me rozan en la tapa

Se ajustan perfectos, aunque hay que dejar el ams un pelín abierto para que funcione (no roce la bobina en la cubierta) te dejo mis 5 estrellas

Hi, thx for your feedback. Diameter of the ring is 202 mm within specs of AMS roll diameter 197-202. I checked in my AMS gap from top case and the roll with the ring and there's about 2-3 mm, so mine is not touching. Would you please check yours or provide photo? Otherwise I should consider to do some changes.

you know that I'm having the same issue, with the AMS closed I get notification that it cannot retract and the filaments get lose inside the container, it looks like it doesn't rotate if the ams is closed with the rings, this is of course not a problem of your design, but the cardboard spools being a bit too big

Hi gasguirre, even within the max diameter allowed this spool is very thin, This makes the spool to tilt either side and then outer rim can touch the cover, that's why I always fit one of the sides close and touching to the inner ams feeder. To avoid the woobling of the spool. Design wall width less than 1 mm will compromise the strength.

Fit perfect with Smartfil carton roll but have same “problem” as other users, touch AMS cover. Also AMS cover can’t completly close. Design maybe need a little adjust. In any case, thank you very, they saved my 14 Smartfil carton filament 😅😊
