Description

Hello! im totally addicted to A1 Faceplates, so i have created a new crazy cover!

The fully mechanical “Gearbox A1 Faceplate”

i hope you like it!

update 1.6

i have received some feedbacks about the main gear part, so i have added some new plates so you can print only the main gear at varous scales

plate 5: only main gear (100% scale like the 01 and 03 plate)

plate 6: only main gear (98% scale)

plate 7: only main gear (96% scale)

plate 8: a main gear set (scale 100%-98%-96%-95%-94%)

be careful and dont be rude when you remove the original cover and put the new one

mount istructions:

remove the original cover → remove original cursor → add new cover → add new cursor , add gears, clip with pins (must be tight)

if the standard pins are too loose, print the plate no°2, it contains different scale pins, use the one that fits better

Gears printed in Silk, Cover in Pla

This is a Beta, let me know if everything works

Dislaimer: im not responsible for any damage to the printer, this is a complex cover, so everything must be printed good and well assembled, i have tested some prints at ludicrous speed and everything works fine,  the pins must be fit tight!

Amazing detail only complaint is the main gear that attaches to the extruder gear is too big had to scale it down by 5% in order for it to fit correctly, otherwise it just spins around the extruder gear

thank you for your feedback, i have tried several sizes of scale and uploaded the most compatible for me. but my filament have a proper flow and expansion so it fits perfectly on my printer, i have tried to downscale to various % but i need too much force to put the gear on. based of this and another feedback i have uploaded an update. thank you again for your help!

mine won’t turn disappointing print. tried to post a video here but it won’t let me. the gear that goes on the shaft is a bit to big for the shaft.

hello, im sorry to hear that, this may be happen because the flow and settings of your filament are different from mine. i can try to add a only gear profile, meanwhile you can open in bambustudio the model and scale and print only the main gear until you find the correct size. (not too much)

the drive gear wasn’t a snug enough fit, it just spun in place.

Printed well, many sizes to choose from. I didn't end up getting it to work and because of the recall I didn't try other sizes to make it work. I did red with gold gears and black buttons which was a cool color combo.

Other Issues:printed this and I couldn’t get the gears to turn I used default settings.

hello, bed adhesion is not related to my profile. try clean your bed or put some glue/hairspray. this profile is pretty standard
