Description

NOTE:

  • Please read the instruction guide below.
  • Download the 3mf file if you are using a Bambu slicer. Download the stl if you are using other slicers.
  • I do my best to double-check and test the print profiles I created. Therefore, I will only take feedback and update for those profiles. I cannot vouch for profiles uploaded by others, so please do due diligence.

UPDATE 6 Aug 2023

My Bambu cube needed an update, so here it is. Embosses are now 1.4mm rather than 2mm. Kind of overkill with a 2mm overhang. The base of the cube now fits 608 bearings. This will allow the cube to spin when placed on the Bambu dish.

INTRODUCTION

A fun project to design an XYZ calibration cube with a Bambu Lab theme. I designed this because I dislike printing benchy.

  • Bambu Cube 30x30mm
  • All embossed is 1.4mm deep
  • This print test for overhang, dimension accuracy and fitting.
  • No support is needed.
  • The circular hole for 608 bearings is designed with a diameter of 22.2mm
  • (optional print) Bambu Cover is 2mm thick and fits exactly into the top opening with 0.2mm offset; to test part fitting.
  • (optional print) Bambu Dish is 80mm in diameter and 10mm in height; to display the Bambu Cube and check the seam finish.

To date, my designs are free to download and use. There is no Patreon or OnlyFan (hahaha). If you like them and want to contribute to my coffee addiction & help fund the filaments I need for prototyping, a donation of $5-$10 to Ko-fi or paypal.me will be greatly appreciated.

As with all my designs, it may and may not work for you. So print and install at your own discretion.

Ironing Print sequence(By object)
Printed to test ironing as it's something I've never tried before. I'm quite impressed with the result as the top layers appear to be noticeably improved over what I'm normally seeing. I think as a method it's something I'll employ a bit more often now. Many thanks.

I need to make a few tweaks to my tolerances, the bearing fits perfectly but the lid is a bit undersized, the cube itself is pretty uniform but undersized. Printed very nicely in ASA, it's time for a full maintenance so I'll be recalibrating everything anyhoo.

Worked perfectly! And looks better than the usual XYZ cube. Glad my printer does what it should :)

I'm now printing this cube for every new filament, from phone it's far more quicker than from slicer.
