Description

Perfect fitting storage box for the original Bambu Lab filament spool.

WARNING!

Enable ‘Ironing’ at own risk.
In my case it caused extruder clogs after finishing the top honeycomb layer mid-print with Bambu Lab white PLA basic.

 

Features:

  • Highly detailed. Example on photo was printed on Bambu Lab textured PEI plate.
  • Honeycomb front and back for aesthetics and material saving.
  • All edges chamfered in 0,3mm. Smooth to the touch.
  • None to almost no post processing (sanding or deburring).
  • Prints without support.
  • Snap fit lid.
  • Finger hole for easy grip and removing the lid.
  • Box dimension is high enough (70mm) to include a desiccant container inside the spool centre (see photo).
  • Box dimension is wide enough (209mm) to use a vacuum bag around the spool (see photo).
  • Storable standing up or stacked on each other.

Hello Ludo, I meet some problem when assembling these two parts. It seems they need a bit more tolerances.

Hi Magic. Thank you for your feedback. can you elaborate a bit more? I already gave more tolerance to the snap fitting. when I print it, it’s perfect. Do you mean that the bump of the snap fit is to high or do you mean that the lid is to big?

The lid is too big. I cannot push it into the base body.

Hi Magic. Thanks for the feedback. I’ll make it a bit smaller and upload it asap. What also helps is getting it in a few times. That loosens up the fit a bit.

it is a storage box for a Bambu lab spool. it’s not suppose to be airtight. Just a cover to replace the cardboard boxes they come shipped in.

Its look great but does not work. The filament is always getting stuck at the bottom of the pipe, then it piles up to the Hot end and you print comes to a stop. And this is when the Poop bin is empty.
