After installing smart light switches and dimmers, I realized they wouldn't fully sit inside of the electrical box with all the wires and wire nuts in there. I needed to design something that allowed them to protrude out from the wall a bit, creating a little more space.
I needed 2 of these, one small (it was close to door jamb) and one normal size, so I whipped up these two.
The spacer rings will be required as well, 2 per cover plate, as this sits between the actual light switch and the electrical box to provide rigidity.
The dimensions of this case allows ~10mm extra space, which should be plenty on any given switch and electrical box.
Enjoy!
