Update: Upon request, I uploaded the poop buckets I use: BambuLab A1, BambuLab A1 Mini.

Poop Deflector for Bambulab A1 and A1 Mini

I know there are already poop deflector designs online. I tried a few but didn't like them because they were either too brittle and/or lacked a proper attachment. That's why I created my own design, which offers the following advantages:

  • secure fixation,
  • stabilized deflector,
  • stable walls,
  • easy and quick printing,
  • only 4g weight.

Since I've been using this deflector, no poop has missed the basket...

Assembly:

Carefully click the poop deflector onto the purge wiper. Place a collecting container under the deflector and make sure that the deflector cannot touch the container in the lowest z position of the printer.

noticed some pla is still hot and sticks to it, added a piece of aluminum tape to prevent that. works great

An excellent design, nicely done! It printed beautifully in Bambu PLA Basic. I added some kapton tape to prevent sticking. edit: I switched the kapton tape to aluminum tape.

In the early years of 3D printing, Kapton tape was glued to the print bed to increase adhesion. That's why I would have some doubts as to whether it's the right material for the poop deflector. I use the deflector on one printer without stickers and on a second one with self-adhesive aluminum foil. But since poops don't stick to either of them, I can't make a recommendation here.

what about Teflon / PTFE Tape, I use that as a cheap alternative to dedicated mouse feet, works great and should prevent sticking quite nicely - note to self: I have to try that

I see, I didn't know that. I haven't had any issues with any of the flung poops sticking to it but I'll probably switch to something else.

I printed it with the filament that comes free with the printer and I ran out, but it works perfectly. I would rate it 5/5!!
Other Issues:Ran out of filament!

Why would you rate it a 3 when running out of filament is your fault? That's not fair to the creator......

Makerworld doesn't let me rate it 5 starts, that's why I put in the final that I would rate it 5/5.

broke it off during the A1 heatbed replacement so I've printed it again in PETG (PLA poop does stick a lot less to that)
