  • FanModV1

It bothered me that the front area in the direction of the glass door can hardly or not at all be reached by the fan's air flow. That's why I designed my first version of the VanModsV1 to control the airflow somewhat without converting or even completely removing the entire fan.

This mod ensures better air distribution over almost the entire print bed and prevents the workpiece from being blown at specific points and the front area from being omitted.

 

 

  • Installation:

Simply click into the original fan. It should sit firmly in the fan without complications and should also be easy to remove.

 

 

  • Update:

 

The Vires has made an improvement to the mod and I would like itshare here too.

The second print profile is the V2 variant with attached buttons,to prevent falling

under strong vibration or fan blowing at 100%.

  • FanModV1

Mich hat es gestört das der vordere Bereich in Richtung der Glastür kaum bis gar nicht von dem Luftstrom des Fans erreicht werden kann. Daher habe ich mein erste Version des VanModsV1 konstruiert um den Luftstrom etwas zu steuern ohne den kompletten Fan umzubauen oder gar ganz auszubauen.

 

Dieser Mod sorgt für eine bessere Luftverteilung über fast das ganze Druckbett und verhindert das punktuelle anblasen des Werkstückes und das auslassen des vorderen Bereiches.

 

 

  • Installation:

Es wird einfach in den Original Fan eingeklickt. Es sollte ohne Komplikationen fest im Fan sitzen und auch leicht wieder entfernbar sein.

 

 

  • Update:

The Vires hat eine Verbesserung an der Mod vorgenommen und die würde ich gern

auch hier teilen. Das zweite Druckprofil ist die V2 variante mit angebrachten Knöpfen,

um ein Herunterfallen bei starken Vibrationen oder einem zu 100 % blasenden Lüfter zu verhindern.

Hey, there are little tabs/clips inside my P1S duct. They prevent the left wing from fitting. If i press it straight i feel the wing getting bend and i already broke one. If i try to fit it the position is alomost 1cm to the right and it wont sit flush Is mine maybe a different version or do i have to find exactly the right spot?

Hello Hedoth, We should both have the same fan. Did you pay attention to the fact that there is a left and a right? If you look into the printer from above, the left side of the mod is the side with the steepest angle. Then the tab should go very easily past the “clips/tabs”.

I think i had it oriented correctly like you said. Next time i load PETG again i reprint and will report. I think i broke not at the tab but on my photo it seems there are two little steps (leftover from fabrication), maybe i broke there. thx. BTW i just left it with one leftmost "wing" broken and it works fine too :)

Printed in PETG and it came out very well. The supports peeled right off, it went in with no problem, no breakage. Looks and feels like it's doing it's job. Thank you.

Have you found any instances where print settings have had to be changed to account for the different distribution of cooling?

No, I haven't had to make any changes yet. Since the opening has not been drastically reduced, the airflow strength remains almost the same. The air is simply transported further forward towards the door.
