Description

Flat version of AMS riser. Glass holder STEP file is included. Print from PLA, but if you mostly print high temperature materials i recommend printing from ABS. I connected the parts using steel pins (6x30), but I included pins for print.

If you want or need, you can print a reinforcement between both sides. I use one reinforcement in place of the seam, but it isn´t necessary.

Printed several things with this printer without issue until now. Printed plates 1 and 2 without issue on my new P1S with Bambu PLA Matte. Plate three was looking to be perfect like the first two until it started up the long crossbar. With 10minues left it fell off the plate to side. The generated supports seemed a bit small to me for that corner and maybe could have used more, but I don't know. This thing has been awesome without me having to do anything to the files so didn't want to mess with it. Any ideas?

I’m experiencing the same issue. plate 3 failed twice now due to bed adhesion and the finish is not great. I have not resolved yet

Replying to @BadAnvil :
I moved the long leg on plate 3 so it gets hit by the air from the side fan. Doing that and adding a brim solved my problem. (the pin assembly method is not great. Wish I saw V2 before printing this one)

Great print, really sturdy and fits nicely to the printer. I used the plastic pins and they went in with a snug fit. Happy to be able to keep the AMS up top AND to be able to take the glass top off it at the same time. Thanks!

See previous comment w/pictures when I was looking for feedback, but no luck. Not sure what I did wrong, but this design just doesn't work for me. After getting everything printed (using large supports on the longer pieces). Once printed, the holes are not big enough for the mentioned 6x30 steel pins (tried 2 brands). Tried forcing one and it cracked the print. I tried the printed pins, which ended up so fragile they snapped off in the print. Glad it works for others, but moving on.

I really don't know where the mistake could be. All others printed successfully.

The mistake may be in your printer, calibrations or settings.

How are you supposed to assemble these?

In this version V1 i used only pins for position adjustment. Iam using steel pins 6x30 in h6 tolerance, so i pushed the pins into the holes and the assembly holds by itself. If you set correct tolerances for printed pins, the assembly holds by itself too. In version V2 connecting crosses and a central clutch are used.
