An interpretation of Starry Night by Van Gogh made for filament painting.
I tried hueforging an image of the original oil on canvas as well, but the outcome didnt look as good due to the nature of the brushstrokes.
Print at 100% infill with a layer height of 0.08mm with a base layer of 0.16mm
Filaments Used:
Generic Black, Blue, Light Blue, Orange, Yellow, White PLA+ filaments.
Swap Instructions:
Start with Black
At layer #3 (0.32mm) swap to Blue
At layer #8 (0.72mm) swap to Light Blue
At layer #13 (1.12mm) swap to Orange
At layer #19 (1.6mm) swap to Yellow
At layer #31 (2.56mm) swap to White for the rest.
Two print profiles have been provided as 6 colors are used:
The only difference is that the single AMS profile has been set to swap back to slots 1 and slot 2 after printing from slot 4. A pause has been added before the end of the 4th color (orange) to allow for slots 1 and 2 to be changed from Black and Blue to Yellow and White respectively.
In summary the print order will be Slot 1 → Slot 2 → Slot 3 → Slot 4 → Slot 1 → Slot 2.
UPDATE: An updated experimental print profile has been uploaded with less orange and yellow. Try only if your orange/yellow filaments have a high opacity, causing the picture to look too warm.
Protip: Reducing nozzle temps slightly (5 - 10 degrees C) may help prevent stringing on detailed prints like this that require lots of retractions.
Happy printing! Share your makes!
Note: Bambu Studio shows Error 920 : Non-manifold edges when slicing. This is normal for Hueforge prints. Please ignore and print away :)
