Description

Remix of yet another AMS Riser that definitely fits Bambulab P1S and P1P but not tested on X1. This design is suitable for the V2 housing of the AMS that fits my Bambu P1S that got shipped December 2023. First generation AMS units have a different spacing in the housing and might not slot in! WARNING: There seems to be a V3 version of the AMS housing late 2023 early 2024 that might not fit this design! I don't know why my Bambu printer December 2023 came with the V2 housing of the AMS.

Changelog compared to the file that this is based on:

- Increased dimensions by 2mm in length and 1mm in width. Less play when mounted and glass panel drops in WAY EASIER.
- Added puzzle style connection at the back.

- Added vertical puzzle style connection for the front and side dash.
- Aligned the front dash seperation line so that it is exactly centered (WHY NOT in the original?? OCD triggered).

- Cleaned up several design errors, TPU glass gasket now symmetrical.
- Bambu Logo and Colored Ring now separate files for easy printing and low waste - simply glue them in.
- Added cutout for the mysterious hole of the P1 printer on the top right dash so that the riser is sitting flush.

This design does not need any support for the LED section at all. Only the single overhang all around the piece is going to be supported and prints nicely due to the changed, vertically oriented interlocking mechanism. The LED have a nice 45 degree angle and illuminate the print room perfectly. You can add a cable wherever you desire. I recommend 5V neon style LED strips with a width of 8mm. 10-12mm will fit without a problem, too. Best practise is to cut the LED strip at every corner and solder a cable instead of bending the LED strip. Personally, I soldered the LED to the original LED connector. It workes for me and enables me to switch the light over the app and BambuStudio but I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF IT DOESNT WORK FOR YOU AND YOU BREAK YOUR PRINTER OR OVERDRAW CURRENT ON THAT PORT. I recommend using the additional, free USB connection.

The files are preset for PETG material and will result amazing quality as seen on the pictures. The TPU parts slot in nicely and also the glass fits easily without being too tight. Have fun with this hassle free, beautiful and simplistic AMS riser.

Hey Pascal, I really love the changes you have made to your riser and would love to use it! I have a V3 AMS though and don't think the current AMS/riser interface you have will work for the newest AMS. Other designers that remixed this basic design (using this type of AMS stand) have had to modify the shape to accomodate all AMS versions, this is one example: https://makerworld.com/en/models/64902#profileId-68560 Thanks again for your great work making the perfect AMS riser, I really like the cutout to accomodate the empty button protrusion on the bezel of the P1S and the TPU gasket! Old versus New AMS stand changes as described on that designer's model:

I got it to work with mine by shifting the AMS back 30mm and trimming 10mm off the back "tooth". It's ugly because I just opted to cut it after printing but really minor mod to the STL would make this universal IMHO

Since when is this AMS housing being shipped? Did anything else change? I just bought my Bambu P1S with AMS one month ago.

I’m not sure when the change was made (or if all the stock of previous revision units has already been shipped), but this appears to be the only change.

Where do you run the LED wiring out of the riser? There is no channel for the wiring, like in other designs.

Printed great my printer light up the whole room now :] I just don't like the top lid holder because the lid vibrates when the printer is moving a specific direction. Maybe I add a tpu layer for the holder.

Any chance of posting the STEP or other CAD file to modify for the V3 AMS? Thanks!

Love this design more than basically all others because it covers the entire top. Though, is there and chance you can release the CAD file for this too, or modify it for the new AMS version like @michael.tavel mentioned?
