Description

My AMS overlay design with slot numbers.
I used gray and white to make the numbers as visible as possible, but you can of course use any color combination.

I designed a version for users who mount their AMS lite on top of an A1 printer (AMS lite Top Mount for A1). link in the image.

Update !

I noticed that some users wanted to protect their Bowden tubes from the excessive wear and tear of tugging, and I thought it might make sense, so I added Bowden tube holders to my earlier design.

The standard version and the version with Bowden tube protection have upside-down versions for people who mount the AMS on the wall or on dedicated stands.

Check the flow ratio before printing. My print has a few flaws, but they are visible only in photos, normally they are almost invisible.

Updated May 9, 2024

  • I replaced the source files from stl to step, which makes the model walls smoother.
  • Due to the information from the comments that the model is too tight in some cases, I increased the length by 0.5 mm, which should solve the problem. (the width is the same so I shouldn't be too loose)
  • Attention! Models with increased length are only in my print profiles!

Awesome, just great! Printed on a carbon bed with black and green PLA, looks really good. The fit is absolutely perfect.

really liked this, but is there any modifications in the pipeline to allow for the (Bambu) AMS on top mod? That has the filament guides, which fit within the original numbers.

I second this option as well. Trying to do it myself, but I am not good at 3D modeling

Great upgrade. Went 3 colors to better see from a distance or from my camera. The fit was just a little tight to the point it was pulling the AMS covers open. I tried sanding the inside to fit but ended up grabbing the heat gun. Warmed the middle of the part just a little and slapped them on. Perfect fit!!

For me it fits perfectly. I didn't know it could be so tight. The only solution I can think of is to print again, increasing the scale a bit, for example 100.5%.

Works well. Too bad ams can't handle glow in the dark because this would be a perfect use case.

Hi, Is there a version with the PTFE tube holder with the numbers reversed? I have switched the cables on the motherboard and that sums it up that my numbers are in a 4-3-2-1 order but mounted upside down so it becomes 1-2-3-4.

Very cool caps, which I immediately printed and installed. They were also wonderful in the horizontal holder: https://makerworld.com/en/models/92486#profileId-100105 Now there is a vertical version https://makerworld.com/en/models/653654#profileId-580497 Unfortunately, the numbers are upside down in that one. Can it be reversed? That would be great, then I would reprint it immediately. The bracket cannot be rotated. THIS IS NOT CRITICISM, JUST A SUGGESTION! Thank you

Profile named: "Upside Down Version, 0.2mm layer, 2 walls, 15% infill" is what you need. I designed all possible variants, side sides are in a separate project.

these are super cute but they tend to pop off when the mini is in motion. maybe if I printed the ones without the tube slot I wouldn't have this problem. it's still a really great model and I definitely recommend it!

I haven't used them in this position, but you could try gluing them with double-sided tape, just remember to degrease them before gluing.
