What spool are you using?

That has always been my experience with these rings. AMS lid will not close and latch; so it's a deal breaker for me.

This is true for me and using this with Creality Hyper PLA (cardboard spool). To solve this while printing; you know those two latches that secure the AMS lid? I put the latches under the lid instead of using them to lock the lid. This keeps the lid open just a tiny bit, and enough where the ring doesn't scrape the lid when it turns.

This is a great idea, I love functional prints. The model printed really well for me but unfortunately I damaged it getting it off the build plate.

I did the same thing with my second set of prints, so the 3rd one, it was so frustrating. I also changed the wall number to 5 and the infill to 100% for much better results but didn't think to post them. The prints were quite difficult to remove from the plate due to their rigidity, I was afraid I would snap them in half or crack them again.

Fit my elegoo cardboard container perfectly! Hopefully I can now use this roll in my AMS without issues.

Printed fine, was a little tricky to get off the bed after. It's a tiny bit too small for the 3DPO spools. (I think it's the exact same size as the cardboard spool). I managed to get it on with some force and stretching however then I couldn't close the AMS lid. I think if the cardboard spool alone only just fits in the AMS without the covers. If the cardboard was a tiny bit smaller it would have fit both on the spool and in the AMS

Perfect, fits all my rolls and helps with the cardboard rolls that are almost out of filament.

I used the "optimized" profile and got good results.
