Description
Dimensional Accuracy Test
This straightforward test aims to compensate for filament shrinkage.
Using my Bambu Lab A1 with Sunlu PETG, the discrepancy over 10cm measures approximately 0.5mm
Method 1:
Target: 100mm to Actual: 99.5mm
This value must be computed for each filament and adjusted for every object prior to printing.
Target length of the printed object = 100mm (100% scaling)
Calculation:
100% / Printed object length (mm) * Target object length (mm) = Scaling factor (%)
Example:
100% / 99.5mm * 100mm = 100.50%
Input this value under: New project → Prepare → Select object → Scale
Method 2:
Target: 100mm to Actual: 99.5mm
This value must be calculated for each filament.
Actual length (mm) ≙ Shrinkage (%)
Actual: 99.5mm ≙ shrinkage 99.5%
Input this value under: Filament settings → Shrinkage
