Description

Bambulab Spool Desiccant Holder V2: Now with Less Ugly and More Grip!

Say goodbye to awkwardly fumbling with the old version of this model and hello to the sleeker, more functional Spool Desiccant Holder V2!

I’ve added indents to make tightening this bad boy onto your spool a breeze, no more slipping!

The first version didn't have much success, despite being the only spool desiccant container that allow you to remove it from the spool without opening the container, I’ll admit it, the reason why? Probably becayse It was a bit...ugly. But V2? Look at thoose indents, Chef’s kiss!

For those unfamiliar with this little lifesaver, the Spool Desiccant Holder is here to protect your 3D printer filament from the evils of moisture. Just pop in some silica gel desiccant, attach it to your spool, and let it work its magic.

Unlike some other designs, you can leave the desiccant in the container and toss the whole thing into a filament dryer when it needs a recharge.

You can even use the integrated filament drying function of enclosed bambulab's printers

Quick pro-tip: If you're using PLA, remember to keep the temperature within safe limits when drying, PLA gets all melty if it gets too hot, I'd stay below 45°.

PETG and ABS? Those champs can handle more heat, so no stress there.

Included print profiles for PLA, PETG, and ABS ensure you get perfect results every time. Print it in whatever material suits your setup best!

Protect your filament, upgrade your setup, and enjoy a more stylish and functional spool companion.

Try it out and let me know what you think!

Update 10/11/2025

Like many of you suggested, I finally added a “small holes" version, this should prevent the problem some of you had with desiccant falling out. Do not worry, you will still find the old version in the print profile, you just got to choose the “Small Holes” build plates, every other aspect of the model is identical meaning you can re-use your old stoppers and caps

P.S. For the Non-Bambu Rebels
Still using spools from other brands or those pesky cardboard spools? Don’t worry, I won’t judge (much). I’ve got a universal version that’s designed to fit just about anything. Perfect for those who like to live dangerously outside the Bambu Lab ecosystem!

Still not satisfied?  Your non bambulab spools are just a little too big and hardly fit in your AMS? You won't believe it but I have a solution for that too!

Check out my AMS Lid Riser, it will allow you to use spools with a bigger diameter in your ams without loosing the ability to use the AMS as a dry box
