Description

This is my attempt at a dust boot for my Makita router powered Bluecarve CNC machine.

It's not perfect, but it has been working well for me so I thought I would share.

Prints without supports and it uses 8x3 magnets from Bunnings.

I used a hearth broom and hot glue for the brushes (you can also buy strips of proper brush).

This was supposed to be a proof of concept but it has worked so well I have never felt the need to replace them.

The hose port is 32mm OD for a standard shop vac hose.

The 2 base pieces are glued together, I used CA glue and accelerant.

You will need one m4 nut and bolt for the clamp.

I would also recommend a short brush and long brush version, as the boot moves with the Z axis and this allows it to be more useful.
