A modern 3D-printed Begleri. Ancient charm, dynamic play. Perfect for focus and skill-building
The "KineticKnots" is a 3D-printed version of the Begleri, an ancient fidget toy. This modern interpretation combines traditional design with contemporary technology. The name "KineticKnots" itself reflects the dynamic nature of the toy, emphasizing its motion and energy, reminiscent of the classic Begleri's knotted or beaded structure.
The tagline "Ancient Fidget Toy" acknowledges the Begleri's historical roots as a skill toy, linking its past use for relaxation and focus to the present. With this creative fusion, the KineticKnots offer a unique blend of cultural heritage and modern engineering, appealing to both enthusiasts of traditional Begleri and those interested in innovative, tactile gadgets.
By no mean I'm an expert on begleri, I just know the basics
Recommended to print 70-80% infill or many walls to get maximum weight, roughly 20g, 10g per bead.
4mm rope or similar will fit this design, you can get them at dollar stores or hardware stores. The one I've made here, I'm actually reusing a ribbon from a gift, so any length of string.
The minimum length has to be enough so it loops around your palm once, and after that its up to you to make it as long as you want.
Cut your length and tights a knot on one end, insert the KineticKnots and then tighten another knot and you have your Begleri.
Have fun fidgeting and clicking!
