Description

IKEA has a cabinet “EKET” which is normally made for mounting vertically. I bought two of them to mount horizontally, and decided I want to keep one of them open as a shelf. However, that leaves 2 holes where the door hinge would normally be mounted. Luckily I just bought a 3D printer along with some off white filament. After a first attempt that was just slightly too small, I found the right dimensions, and it works great. Unless you put your face all up in the cabinet, it is not visible at all.

The original model is slightly too small, but the print profile has it scaled up by 4% to a diameter of 11,96 mm, giving a perfect fit.
