Window Sensor Handle

Enclosure for an inexpensive window sensor to detect the window handle.

For Modification:

Open the sensor housing and desolder the reed switch. Position the reed switch externally, as shown in the photograph. Drill a hole in the sensor housing. Do not make the extension cables too short, as this will hinder battery replacement. I secured the reed switch and cables with a small amount of hot glue. Then insert the magnet into the magnetic holder. The position must be adjusted on a case-by-case basis. For me, the recess above the corner often works well.
