Think again!</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Instantly elevate your bland office desk and get rid of your boring laptop risers and stands!</p><p>Watch your envious colleagues&#39; jaws drop as they struggle to process a laptop floating in mid air!</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Design has been tested with a 13&#34; HP Elitebook and a 16&#34; Macbook Pro. Most laptops should fit provided that the bottom half is not too thick. Works great with iPads and other tablets too, especially for looking at recipes in the kitchen!</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>This is an improved version of the <a target="_blank" href="https://makerworld.com/en/models/201206#profileId-221572" rel="nofollow noopener">original design</a> with the following goals:</p><ul><li>Better stability - base of the model has been reworked to be much more stable with no load / loads of different sizes (phones, tablets, laptops, etc)</li><li>Better grip - design now includes a printable TPU foot that fits in a cutout on the base (version with no foot is also available for folks that do not have TPU / do not wish to use it). No more sliding around the desk!</li><li>Design rework - many of the sharp angles have been replaced with sweeping curves. While design is subjective, i think this makes for a much more elegant look overall</li><li>Printable in one piece with no supports</li><li>Fits on A1 Mini! - i dont have one to test on, but the model fits comfortably in the build area</li></ul><p><strong>Printing</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><u>Update 7 May 2024 </u>- added faster print profiles as there seems to be some demand for them. would still recommend going for the original high quality profiles for a more seamless look, especially with matte / wood filaments.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The pictured model was printed with wood PLA, but any material should work. Use a heat resistant material if using in a hot environment.</p><ul><li>4 walls</li><li>30% gyroid infill</li><li>No supports required</li></ul><p>I have found that the above is sufficent to produce a nice strong print. Increase the number of walls / infill at your discretion if you wish to add even more strength.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Do not change the print orientation! I made a heavy duty version!</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Comes in single print or separate as regular panel + spacer (Can be usefull if you already have some panels printed, otherwise go with the single print version)</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Skadis has to measure a multiple of 40mm, so the X1/P1/A1 can print the 200x240 version, or the 240x240 if you follow <a target="_blank" href="https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/knowledge-sharing/print-volume-limitations" rel="nofollow noopener">this guide</a> to use the entire bed (without AMS only) .</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>I provided a print profile for the 200x240, and I uploaded stl file from 160x160 (should fit in the mini bed) to 400x400, if you have a bigger printer.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Note :</strong> They are made to be side by side mountable, I mean, you can use any Skadis accessories sitting on two panels at the same time</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>

PLA, PLA+, and PETG are also considerable filament choices. However, take into account that soldering iron radiates some indirect heat. <strong>The usage of less temperature-stable filaments may result in part deformations over time.</strong></p><p>It is recommended to use ASA or ABS at least for “arm” and “iron mount” parts. A wall count of 4 is an <strong>absolute must</strong> to ensure the structural integrity of the parts. There is no need to go over the top with this. <strong>4 are for this particular build.</strong></p><h4>File naming for printed parts:</h4><p>The parts use this naming convention:</p><ul><li><strong>PRIMARY COLOR</strong> — These files will have nothing at the start of the filename. <i>Example: buildplate_x1.stl</i></li><li><strong>ACCENT COLOR</strong> — Files have “[a]” to the front of any STL file that is intended to be printed with accent color. <i>Example: </i><strong>[a]</strong><i>_bushing_x1.stl</i></li><li><strong>COUNT OF PARTS </strong>— Files have “x1” to “x4” at the end of any STL file. The tags are large, and the colors are bright, so maybe it's not so easy to miss. </p><figure class="image"><img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/draft/354015/2023-10-10_xyhck86v113n.jpg"></figure><p><strong>This keychain is an elegant, highly customizable, and practical solution. It works with the magic and invisible magnetic force, if the keys are from brass to aluminum, the solution is to use one of the available tags. </p><figure class="image"><img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/draft/354015/2023-10-10_73tz8bljc3ut.jpg"></figure><h4>Smart</h4><p>For those who are in the home rental business, or have a home with home automation, I also added the possibility to add an <a target="_blank" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radio-frequency_identification" rel="nofollow noopener">NFC</a> Tag to each of the keychain docks. This way, you can give directions to your guest or automate something every time you bring your <a target="_blank" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radio-frequency_identification" rel="nofollow noopener">NFC Tag </a>reader close to the dock. </p><p>If you don't find this interesting, just don't use the NFC Tag ;)</p><p>Challenge</p><p>I leave here a challenge to those who are more comfortable with electronics, namely using and programming the <a target="_blank" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ESP32" rel="nofollow noopener">ESP32</a>. If anyone is interested in collaborating in order to put a microcontroller in the dock, please contact me. The idea that by putting the key on the keychain and start an action is interesting. (this, of course, without using the mobile phone). NFC Tag was the simplest way I found to enable this kind of interaction, but you always need a mobile phone nearby… Well, it's not bad, but an ESP32 will be better, but then we have the battery problem… ;)</p><h4>How it works</h4><ol><li>Simply hold the tag or key close to the dock and the magical magnetic force will do the rest. </li><li><i>If you are already in the future, whenever you think it is necessary, you can bring your phone close to the dock and trigger a set of actions. I know that with iOS this is very easy through the automations in the Shortcuts app, and I'm sure that on Android it won't be difficult either. Regardless of the system and in a universal solution, </i><a target="_blank" href="https://www.home-assistant.io/" rel="nofollow noopener"><i>Homeassistant </i></a><i>works great with ID tags.</i></li></ol><p>But enough about automation, that was something I decided to add and that wasn't the reason I made this keychain.  </p><h4>Available variations</h4><ul><li>Colors for ID the dock and the tags, choose any colors you like.</li><li>3D printable labels on the dock (Garage, House, Office and Mailbox). Some more could be available for members. <p>This is a version of my sci-fi case, sized to work with the [BaBo] system (8x6 units → <a target="_blank" href="https://makerworld.com/en/@Willi3D/collections/666866" rel="nofollow noopener">Willi 3D&#39;s BaBo Collection).</a> I liked the insets! The prototype versions of this case I&#39;ve already been using to hold printer tools, and so it just seem natural. They work and look great together. <br> </p><p>It&#39;s a tight fit on build plate! I recommend printing the case portion with some sort of support to help the curves print nicer. It uses 16 M3x10 screws, 4 4x6 round bar magnets, and a piece of filament for the hinge! <p>Ich habe die beiden Teile des Modells von Zumselman passend zusammengefügt, um sie in einem einzigen Druck mittels AMS drucken zu können. </p><p>Es befinden sich vier Rauten auf dem Druckbett, das spart eine Menge Zeit, da das die Filamentwechsel reduziert.</p><p>Gedruckt wird “face-down”, damit sich eine schöne Oberfläche ergibt.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Die abgebildeten Rauten sind mit PETG in 0,08mm Layerheight gedruckt, außerdem 15% infill und 2 walls.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Die Erlaubnis, das Modell hier zu veröffentlichen, hat mir der Original-Ersteller gegeben. Schaut gerne auch bei ihm in Thingiverse vorbei, die meiste Arbeit hatte er. Ich habe nur seine beiden Dateien zusammengefügt für einen MM-Druck.</p>

<p><span style="background-color:rgb(255,255,255);color:rgb(42,42,42);font-size:16px;">A simple filament clip which prevents the filament from unwinding reliably!</span><br><span style="background-color:rgb(255,255,255);color:rgb(42,42,42);font-size:16px;">I've tested many filament clips in the past, but couldn't find one that I was 100% satisfied with.</span><br><span style="background-color:rgb(255,255,255);color:rgb(42,42,42);font-size:16px;">Out of this need I have designed this small clip!</span></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>This is the easiest way to attach the clip:</strong><span style="background-color:rgb(255,255,255);color:rgb(42,42,42);font-size:16px;"> </span><i>Hold the end of the filament between your thumb and index finger, and press down on the previous winding with your middle finger. This way you can loosen the previous winding a bit to make it easier to get underneath with the clip to attach it. Do it a few times and it will be done in a few seconds.</i></p>
