No one believed it could survive on the battlefield. That changed the day retired veteran Viktor Randel climbed into the cockpit. On that day, UNEF elite forces launched a full assault to seize the last Black Obsidian Crystal mine, with tens of thousands of colonists’ lives hanging in the balance. Viktor piloted it to block the mine entrance, buying time for the evacuation convoy to escape. When ammunition ran dry, armor shattered, and everything seemed lost, the long-dormant protocol finally awakened— the red mono-eye suddenly flared into a piercing crimson glow, the hydraulic systems roared with low fury, and the scattered patch plates automatically locked and restructured. It was no longer scrap metal. It became a guardian rising from the ashes. One against ten, tearing enemy mechs apart with bare hands, refusing to fall even as explosions engulfed everything. In the swirling smoke and dust, that red eye still burned, unyielding. From that day on, the soldiers called it "Ashen Mono-Eye." Every weld scar bears the name of a fallen comrade; every roar is a will that refuses to die. Viktor survived, but he never left the cockpit again. He only said one thing: “This machine knows me, and I know it. We both crawled out of the ashes.” In a war with no absolute justice, it may not be the strongest mech— but it is the one that refuses to fall.
