Bio
Was introduced to 3D printing through my youngest son and haven't looked back. I got my first printer, an A1 in May 2025 and now have a P1S and an X1C. I come from a mining background but in the IT/OT space so the interest in tech has always been there. This has really brought out the creative side and now consumes most of my spare time. With printing and smart home tech, they kind of go hand in hand. Now I just need to curb my filament addiction. I thought it'd take me a little longer to fill my 96 bay filament rack, but here we are, looking for more space.

As always, a beautiful design which looks great. I printed from Siraya Tech ABS-GF black, Bambu ABS-GF grey, Bambu Pumpkin Orange PLA with Red Elegoo TPU 95A. it’s a beefy print with a fraction over 1kg of filament in all, but well worth it.
I might put together a bit of a stand for this, so I can mount it beside my printer, I’m thinking of rotating it forward 45° to make it easier to access, my printer sits a little high.
I did have a few attempts at printing the clips, they kept fusing together, but I found it was my fault. I used PETG supports and interfaces and by default the slicer zeroes out the top and bottom Z distance values, so anyone doing this, when you turn on the PETG/PLA supports, make sure you say no to zeroing out these values when the pop up prompts you. When I did print it correctly, the supports stayed on the build plate and the clips just broke away. I may go back to PETG clips later, but I really like the look of the orange.

This desiccant hub has replaced all my other desiccant sachets I was using previously. Printed from ABS, I just remove the hygrometer section and place in my dehydrator for a few hours. I only hope the designer can make a hygrometer version for other sized spools.

My new favourite print and next project. I’m so impressed with the quality of this, that I am replacing all my desiccant bags with these. I just put in an order for 20 hygrometers on AliExpress $1.42 AUD each.

I found the print really nice. Printed it in ABS-GF and it printed flawlessly. The middle section was a bit tight but I had no problems pushing it in. The joint at the handle is a little loose, not sure if I will glue it or not, but it doesn’t stop it from functioning well.

A really nice design and looks great to boot. I made my own mount to fit in with a top mount I currently use for cereal boxes and it works perfectly. the only thing that I feel can be improved is how the cover screws on. The amount of times I had to screw out on without cross threading. But once it’s on, it works really well. Also, with TPU, you need to screw the lid on in the vertical position, otherwise the filament falls off the spool and then tangles in the spindle.

A really nice solution, much less stress than the standard top mounted AMS Lite. Printed in PETG Elegoo Grey and Polymaker Dark Grey with Bambu Lime Green highlights. I’d really like to see a desiccant box, I’ll make an attempt but I’m not a great designer. I also may have a non destructive method for the RFID install, but I’m wanting to prove my theory first. I’ll let you know if it works.

An excellent pill dispenser, I’ve tried a few different ones, but this id the best so far. The only request I have is to label the inside so it’s easier to see whether it’s am or pm.

Such a good print and a vast improvement on the positioning of the camera.

Exactly what I needed, when using my top mount spool holder, I was placing my glass on the floor where I have nearly broken it a few times. now it’s safely out of the way.

This is one of the best designs I have seen. I’m yet to print the desiccant tray as I don’t have any PC at the moment. I might try it in ABS, I microwave dry my desiccant, so I’ll check what temperatures it gets to. Typically I dry on about 30% for 5 minute intervals and weigh until I see less than a 2g reduction, usually 20-25 minutes.
But, the shelf came out flawlessly, even though I was using the cheapest PLA I had, some $9.95 AUD Creality in black.
The only thing I could suggest would be either a window to see how much filament is on the spool, or a spool gauge that showed percentage remaining.

Finally, I found a Rotary tool bit holder I liked. Printed perfectly the first time.

Printed really nicely and the threads are high quality. The only suggestion I’d have is to use a clamping-style connector for the ptfe tubes to connect to, much like a strain relief connector, it is currently a very tight fit, which you documented, but this would give more flexibility to use and ptfe as well, which is likely what I used. But overall a good quality print
