It certainly works but is somewhat ungainly in operation.

The very thin compartments along the edges are too thin and of very little use. They should have been either made wider or eliminated altogether merging the space they take up with the main compartment.

Excelent idea, of course I had to butcher one of the cylindrical link pieces to fit my magnifier but it works OK.
