A simple self watering planter with water indicator.  some assembly required for the water indicator part.  first you need a styrofoam. I bought some at Michaels, you probably can find it at hobby lobby or home depot.  cut out your Styrofoam at least 55 mm long<img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/model/DSM00000000459219/design/2024-05-09_0f62e3638642f.jpg">but the width needs to be 10.5mm to fit the Styrofoam holder piece<img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/model/DSM00000000459219/design/2024-05-09_1d3509bf927c.jpg">&nbsp;then attach it to the foam holder piece <img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/model/DSM00000000459219/design/2024-05-09_ea49bb03265d2.jpg">&nbsp;then assemble the rest of the indicator parts. the flag goes inside the top portion first  <img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/model/DSM00000000459219/design/2024-05-09_d5e78495273ea.png"> then connect the foam holder at the end of the flag (you might need to sand the flag part to fit, it was kinda hard to do the tolerance with that brim getting added to the material, after that you can super glue it together) <img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/model/DSM00000000459219/design/2024-05-09_96fdc6f2e84a6.png"> and then insert this 3 piece to the tube. there should be a small locking grove that you just need to twist to lock (super glue is optional at this part). <img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/model/DSM00000000459219/design/2024-05-09_2fc2c5a8ca102.png"> should look like this <img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/model/DSM00000000459219/design/2024-05-09_e3e07806320f5.jpg">&nbsp;and Thats it!! you&#39;re all set<img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/model/DSM00000000459219/design/2024-05-09_30fb3752658c7.gif"> NOTE: the Cachepot (apparently that&#39;s the name of the container that goes inside the planter). the print profile on that has a slight 45° rotation, for less support. but how you print it, is up to you, i just preferred it this way.  <img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/model/DSM00000000459219/design/2024-05-09_a748ae89ed73.png"> as always, let me know how it turns out. The Egg-ceptional Utility to Transform Ordinary Eggs into Works of Art&nbsp;Say goodby to messy hands with this egg painter. The holder is equipped with two gears, allowing you to rotate the egg and paint it from all sides. All you need for assembly is a rubber band, nothing more! Integrated into the base are six pots for paint and a brush holder left and right.&nbsp;<figure class="image"><img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/draft/774962/2024-03-10_076a1d072aa6b.gif"></figure>(note: please click on the image above if the animation does not play automatically.)&nbsp;<h2>Parts Needed</h2>All you need is a rubber band with a diameter of approximately 4 cm.<h2>Assembly</h2><figure class="image"><img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/draft/774962/2024-03-10_9cca59eea7fb9.gif"></figure>(note: please click on the image above if the animation does not play automatically.)&nbsp;<ul><li>Remove the supports carefully.</li><li>Insert the short rod into the hole on the left side of the base.</li><li>Attach one of the gears to fixate the rod. The gears are press-fit. If it does not go in well, turn it around. Sometimes due to elephant's foot one side of the hole is tighter than the other.</li><li>Insert the long rod on the right side of the base.</li><li>Take the wheel with the two notches and put it onto the long rod from the right side. The notches should face outwards.</li><li>Attach the second gear to the long rod. Again, turn the gear around if the fit it too tight.</li><li>Take a rubber band of about 4 cm.</li><li>Guide it through the two notches of the wheel.</li><li>Then, attach the two ends of the rubber band to the cantilever-like sections from the base.</li><li>The rubber band pulls the long rod to the inside with enough force to hold an egg.</li><li>If the force is not sufficient, take a shorter rubber band or loop it around more.</li><li>If the tolerances of your print are good, you should be able to turn both rods using the gears.</li></ul><h2>Printing Instructions</h2>The model does not require any special filament. Regular PLA should be enough. I took quite some care to optimize print settings. The rods need to be printed in vertical direction so that they are perfectly round. The tree supports should give enough stability.&nbsp;<h2>Commercial Use</h2>The model on this website is only available for non-commercial use. This means you can print it for yourself or as a gift for others, but you may not sell or alter the model. Please use this, as you can easily adapt the retraction length and turn the feature on and off as you please. A1 and A1 mini still have to use the download here.  </h2><h2>Description:</h2>TLDR: This mod allows you to use a lower flush multiplier without the color bleed that it would have with the default profile. &nbsp;Great <a target="_blank" href="https://youtu.be/suFbfer1WhI?si=7mcjxLNhubW9WR1a" rel="nofollow noopener">video</a> by butter pocket prints explaining this change.&nbsp;<h2>How to use it:</h2><ol><li>Open the 3mf file and save the Nozzle Profiles of your Printer to your User Presets. It will tell you that the G-Code was changed, confirm with OK, as this is exactly how the profile works. The profile name has to be changed to save it.  </li><li>Now you need to adjust your purge settings! I would just set the multiplier to 0.5 on P1 and X1 and 0.65 on A1 and A1 mini. The values may now show red in the purge settings, but they will still work. </li></ol>!Dont use with Silk PLA!  !Confirm that you are running the newest Version of Bambu Slicer. Orca Slicer may work but is not tested!&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Original Post from 14.09.2023 on Printables with the title “bambulab profile for up to 60% purge reduction” which has sadly since been deleted by prusa:&nbsp;&nbsp;<h2>Orginal Description:</h2>The biggest issue with The Bambulab printers is that during multicolor printing ridiculous amounts of purge (dubbed poop by some) are generated, when switching colors.(Example: <a target="_blank" href="https://reddit.com/r/BambuLab/s/iMiT0Bis6i" rel="nofollow noopener">https://reddit.com/r/BambuLab/s/iMiT0Bis6i</a> or <a target="_blank" href="https://reddit.com/r/BambuLab/s/wDpB3A3N6k" rel="nofollow noopener">https://reddit.com/r/BambuLab/s/wDpB3A3N6k</a>)This has to be done to clear the Printhead of the old color and replace it with the new color.The Print head has a internal volume bellow the cutter of 110 mm3, meaning that at least 110 mm3 of filament has to be flushed and an additional amount to account for the transition when the old color mixes into the new color.Of these 110 mm3 in the hot end, only half get melted, as the rest stays in the cold part around the heat sink.Here comes a neat trick I found: Before cutting, the unmelted part can get pulled up so that it can be fed back into the AMS. When the new filament is feed into the hotend, it gets pushed in an additional 20mm.This means that for every filament change 50mm3 of filament is saved.As a result much less purge volume is required.When the print ends, the filament also gets pushed out 20 mm, to also save filament here.The filament gets pushed out another 20mm during purging when starting the print too, to account for the push-back when the print ends.   The saving results can be seen in the first picture.I used this model (<a target="_blank" href="https://www.printables.com/model/536401-bambu-lab-ams-purging-strips-p1p/files" rel="nofollow noopener">https://www.printables.com/model/536401-bambu-lab-ams-purging-strips-p1p/files </a>) by Joey_466945 and printed it once with the „Save filament Profile“ and once with the normal on. The flush Volumes have to be set to 0 for this test! Each line on the strips corresponds to 100 mm3. It’s clearly visible that each transition is shifted by 50mm3.For advantageous color combinations like blue and red these 50mm3 savings correspond to a very high saving percentage. Combinations which have a lot of color bleed like white to black need a lot of purging still, so the percentage saved is much less.I printed two benchies for comparison (the left one is the saving Profil) and the quality stayed the same, despite the flush volumes being reduced by 50mm3. The benchy with my profile generated 60% less purge.Both prints used a prime tower though which stayed the same size.  The Profile only changes 8 lines of code in the G-Code.I tested thousands of filament changes and had no issues. Tests have been done on X1C, P1P, P1S and A1 mini. Edit: Silk PLA and Bambu support material should not be used with this profile. Tests by Bambulab indicate problems.   &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;—————————————————————————————————————————————————UPDATE 01.02.2024: I made a mistake with the A1 and A1 mini profiles. Retraction was now lowered and should improve reliability. Max. savings with A1 and A1 mini is now 33% and the net savings per filament change is 36 mm3. P1 and X1 still have a max saving of 45% and a net saving of 50 mm3. This is due to the changed geometry of the hotend, because the hot zone is a bit longer. This reduction is more on the conservative side, it is probably possible to get away with more savings, but I can’t test it yet as I don’t have a A1 or mini. &nbsp;UPDATE 25.01.2024: Bambulab updated the A1 and A1 mini print profiles, so I also updated them to the current version.I have also heard back from Bambulab and they are testing the feature. They have run into problems with Silk PLA though, so it seems it works not with all filaments perfectly. <a target="_blank" href="https://makerworld.com/en/u/1929892454" rel="nofollow noopener">@EyemJoe</a> also mentioned problems with Support filament. If you use these two filaments be careful. &nbsp;UPDATE 11.01.2024: I changed the start G-Code as on some printers the Load Line was incomplete on some printers.Thanks to <a target="_blank" href="https://www.printables.com/@Cosquilla_523214" rel="nofollow noopener">@Cosquilla_523214</a> for pointing me to the issues and suggesting a fix. I also changed the title, as the calculated maximum saving is 45% for this method and not 60% as the title stated before. The 60% was what I observed on my testprint, but this was with a small quality reduction. 45% is without a quality reduction. &nbsp;I have also found out that Bill from 3D chameleon also was using retractions to reduce waste on the Bambu Printers a couple of months before me. I independently came up with this, but his hardware based solution is also very interesting. The big difference is, that my profile doesn’t require any hardware changes. If you are interested in multi color printing, his Chameleon is very interesting and was one of the smartest and best solutions before the Bambu AMS. It also makes Multi-color printing possible on any printer. A must-have drill accessory tool that both allows you to make sure you drill a perfectly perpendicular hole while also capturing all of the dust and debris. The front of the tool rotates so that you can select the guide hole that will best work for your drill bit, and then the cover on the back can be easily removed with a twist to dump the debris when you're done. Previously I had mostly used Solidworks at the hobby/maker level but wanted to learn Fusion 360 as most parametric uploads were saved in f3d files. At first I wanted to use snap fits to create a box that snapped together with panels to mostly print the box in one plate. I did not have much experience with snap fits and figured it would be a good project to get some exposure on designing snap fits. This quickly led to a design that created a box with larger dimensions than I hoped for as I am storing my filament in cubby style furniture. I needed the box to be as small as possible, preferably to match the size of standard filament boxes provided by filament manufacturers. I moved on to designing a standard box and lid configuration. I always wanted the box to incorporate both honeycomb pattern and rounded corners. This proved rather difficult in Fusion 360 which led to another “learning” issue. Went with the “sheet metal” technique to wrap patterns around cylindrical and flat surfaces. This unfortunately made the design somewhat non-parametric. Technically it is parametric in that the pattern is equation driven but there are some parameters that rely on dimensions I could not parameterize due to the “sheet metal” technique.&nbsp;The box was originally designed around Bambu sized spools with just enough clearance to store the spool along with a vacuum sealed bag. The next step in the project was labeling. I landed on using inserts to label the boxes after some inspiration from the Honeycomb Storage Wall. The idea of using modular inserts was more of a happy accident than design intent. Once the insert snaps were designed and working, I modeled a multitude of inserts to allow for coloring and labeling in endless configurations. I have included inserts both with text and without text. I designed the inserts around the idea of using blank inserts as filament swatches and keeping the labeled inserts white with black text. I also designed a stacking insert to be used for those storing filament in the XY plane. The stacking inserts do work for the YZ plane as well, but it is nowhere near as stable as stacking in the XY plane.<h2>Hex Spool Box Notes</h2><h3>Dimensions</h3><figure class="image image_resized" style="width:100%;"><img src="https://makerworld.bblmw.com/makerworld/draft/153861/2023-10-24_8448f422e60d6.png"></figure><h3>Printing Profile Notes</h3>I have included two printing profiles for the Hex Spool Box: [Hex Spool Box.3mf] and [Box with PLA Inserts Example.3mf]. The former is only the Box and the Lid. The latter includes a PLA insert, Bambu logo Insert and some blank inserts as swatches for identifying the color. This profile is set to be printed by object where filament 3 would be the color of the filament being stored. This profile is simply an example of what a complete box would look like.<ul><li>Layer Height: 0.2<ul><li>If the layer height is set higher than 0.2, the 30 degree overhangs on the Z axis honeycombs become bridges causing bad surface detail and low layer adhesion. Prints will fail if printed higher and unsupported, print at your own risk when chasing speed.</li></ul></li><li>Support: Tree(auto), Support critical regions only, on build plate only.</li><li>Top Surface Pattern: Monotonic<ul><li>Default Monotonic Line creates a large number of tiny gaps that need to be filled, this slows the print and degrades the surface quality of the upper surface of the bottom.</li></ul></li><li>Bottom Surface Pattern: Concentric<ul><li>Speeds up the print, looks better as well if printed on a surface where layers are visible. (Optional)</li></ul></li><li>Wall Generator: Arachne<ul><li>Only changes layer width in a few layers, classic could be used if desired. (Optional)</li></ul></li><li>Infill: 15%</li><li>Infill Pattern: Gyroid</li></ul><h2>Insert Notes</h2><h3>Intro</h3>Inserts can be used to label the box, colorize/decorate, and to add stacking to the boxes. The text and graphics inserts were designed to have only one filament change, the text/graphics is only one layer high and is printed first to minimize filament changes. Due to this design, printing the inserts at 0.2mm layer height is a must. The [SOLID] or blank inserts are provided to use as filament color swatches or simply to add your own text or graphics using built in Bambu Studio tools or a CAD application.<h3>Cautions</h3>When inserting the inserts into the honeycomb, support the back side of the wall. When the inserts are fresh off the plate, the snap is a bit tight. This can be an issue when first inserting the inserts into the hexagons, especially on the hexagons in the Z axis as those tend to be the weakest due to their print orientation. Open Bambu Studio, import [Hex Spool Box Inserts.step].</td><td> </td></tr><tr><td>2. Each insert will now be contained in an object. Objects listed as [SOLID] are inserts that do not have text or graphics that necessitate multi material. If emboss or deboss is desired, change the embedded and thickness values and move the text_shape accordingly. <ol><li>Select a [SOLID] object to add text to.</li><li>Create a text object with the Text shape tool, ensure the Thickness is set to 0.20 and Embedded is set to 0.00.</li><li>Select the text_shape object then select the move tool. Subtract the current Z position value by 0.20 (3.10 - 0.20 = 2.90).</li><li>Set the text_shape object filament.</li><li>Rotate insert (assembly of insert object and text_shape object) 180 degrees to lay it flat on the plate.</li></ol>Adding Text and Graphics to an Insert in Fusion360Here is a quick rundown on adding custom text and graphics in Fusion360.<ol><li>Create a sketch on the top surface of an insert.</li><li>Add text or graphics sketch.<ol><li>The font I used for text is Dosis ExtraBold, height is 9mm, and character spacing 10.00.</li><li>For logos, I typically find svgs or images and convert them to svg and import the svg. Once imported, scale the sketch and position it, some guide lines before importing really help to position the sketch paths.</li></ol></li><li>Extrude sketch path to a distance of 0.2mm down into the insert body. Set the operation to New Body, NOT Cut.</li><li>Use the Combine tool. Select the insert body as the Target Body, select the rest of the bodies that encompass the text or graphics as the Tool Bodies. Set Operation to Cut, lastly tick the Keep Tools option. This will create a cut in the insert matching the text/graphics and keep the bodies to easily set the filament in Bambu Studio.</li><li>Export the component as a step file and follow the instructions above for splitting objects and setting the filament for the text/graphics in Bambu Studio.</li></ol>&nbsp;
