I created this on and off over the course of 3 months to help solve the problem of elderly people, particularly with dementia, forgetting they took their pills already, consuming more than the recommended dosages and harming/ hospitalizing themselves on accident.
After some research, I found that automatic pill dispensers can vary in price to be thousands of dollars, so I created this to be cost-effective, simple solution with common parts and entirely open source, totaling under $65.
