I loved the Turbo Hopper and have several now. Many have bad electronics and if converted to hobby grade RC it is easy to break them. Also, all the ~40 year old tires are bad in one way or another. They are either flat/cracked or hard as a rock. I tried to figure out a way to use JRX2 mini tires on a Turbo Hopper without success. Decided to convert a JRX2 mini into a Turbo Hopper instead. Modern parts and good tires.
