#Help Center Z-Axis Scraping the Plate – Possible AMS/Extruder Issue? Hey everyone, I’m having an issue where my Z-axis is scraping the plate, and I’m trying to figure out the cause. I recently had a piece of broken filament stuck in the upper extruder near the PTFE tube, which I cleared. However, I noticed that my AMS and extruder kept trying to push filament, putting excessive pressure on the nozzle, causing it to shift back and forth. I also noticed the extruder gear slipping during this process. Could this have twisted or misaligned the hot end assembly, leading to the Z-axis issue? Has anyone else experienced something similar, and what would be the best way to check/fix it?Appreciate any insights!
