One day, I heard that dreaded crack. My Henry Hoover nozzle finally gave up after being stepped on one too many times or from its interfacing with the metal. Replacement parts were either out of stock or cost nearly as much as a new hose. So I grabbed my calipers, measured the broken pieces, and designed my own. A few test prints later to get the attachment nub just right, and I had a perfect fit. Three months of weekly vacuuming later, it's still going strong. Henry and I are both delighted!
