I had no prior knowledge of 3D printing but I bought a printer and printed out and assembled the parts. Everything went smoothly. The design work is excellent and the finished product delivers the goods. We race DF95s in the tidal waters of Chichester Harbour, UK. In the first outing the mark was powering into the chop in a force 4 - no problem at all. I am waiting for a 360 degree servo to be delivered from China before we can test the anchor winch but, based on my experience so far, I do not foresee any issues. BTW if you do build this yourself do make sure that you buy a 360 degree servo for the anchor winch, not the normal push me, pull you server. And don't make the mistake of thinking you can use a DF65 rudder servo. Overall it is a fun project and I am sure that the mark will be a brilliant piece of kit to help keep the course orientated to changes in wind and tide. Full marks and many thanks to Robin Gray for his hard work and generosity towards the racing community.

I printed one of these to store a soldering iron. And I made up a little tray for the tips, that I glued in place. Perfect. It is a very nice design. If it was possible to customise the sizes that would be even better.
